Adjective Game

Objective:
To enhance unity among the group members by associating and remembering a good quality in each
member.

Group size:
The group size could be up to about 15 members.
Time Required: 15-20 minutes.

Procedure:
Members stand in a circle. The game can begin with one of the members who should choose a good quality as an adjective to his own name. The quality he chooses must begin with the first letter of his name. He should then say both together, for example “Active Anant”. The quality he chooses could be either a quality that he already possesses or a quality he wishes to acquire. Then the game moves to the person standing next to him in a clockwise manner. This person should repeat the adjective and name of the first person and then say his own adjective and name. For example, she says, “Active Anant, Polite Pranita”. The game then moves to the third person and continues in the same manner till the last person in the circle has repeated the adjectives and names of all the group members and added his own adjective and name. At this time all the group members together will repeat the adjectives and names of everybody starting with the first person, i.e. “Active Anant, Polite Pranita,”
The game is really effective way to teach about adjective in the classroom. Student develop stronger vocabulary when learning is a fun process. Adjective game is a great way for students to learn more about this part of speech.
